When Dane was a child he always had bruises, because his single mother ( an omega) hit him, beat him up when she was sober. And when she was drunk (she was an alkoholic) she told him how sorry she was, and that she loved him. That went on for years, at some point he found out that she hated the he was born. When Dane got his first heat, and manifested as an(dominant) omega she tried to kill him, strangled him, she thought she had succeeded when he lost contiousness. She hanged herself. When Dane woke up he found her like this. He then found out through his grandparents, who were religious people, that she was gang raped by three alphas while in heat and got pregnant (Dane), they got off free of any charge. From that time on Dane lived alone.

Based on this i feel sorry for dane and he deserves better and could understand his distrust towards alpha and why he hates family
But pn other hand I feel.sorry for his mother for her hardships but she could have loved him afterall he is her son
