You wouldn’t really noticed it. It’s not the centre but just little side quest. Maybe 5%? And it’s not random and awkward. It was kinda cute, even. It actually fits nicely in the whole plot. So don’t worry. I hate romance in action manhwa too.

Fr and even though ml is toxic and too possessive, and mc seems too blind to it bevause hes crazy in love but hes actually aware and just doesnt mind, he likes it, and honestly good for them, they accept each other with all their craziness and ignorance.

The reason he doesn't mind carrying people and giving away equips he doesn't need is because he can strengthen humanity even a bit more this way. This comic revolves more around external enemies than humans fighting each other over politics and power...
