My first thought is, how is this not a romance? Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely story and no romance is needed. But, “I want to live with you and die with you.” How is that not the most romantic thing ever? Still, if not romantic, then their platonic love is strong! I’m only on chapter three, and I relate to the strong friendship deeply. I have a close friend of around eleven years and if put in a similar situation, I’d hope that we would stand together like the main characters do. (Even though I’m a total wimp lol)
