why does she have black hair tho, like her parents had red hair and white hair- genetically speaking why tf has she got black hair Σ( ￣□￣||) i feel like the problem of her being misunderstood as the dark star could’ve been SO easily avoided if she just inherited the white hair her family is KNOWN for having???? or even just the red hair of her mother … idk
yeah like couldn't them gods been able to do something simple as making sure her hair color made freakin sense like there is literally no reason to make her hair black and all its done is screwed her over

The high priest changed the OG prophecy, Ashtarte black hair directly linked to the original prophecy so that why she has a black hair; and also why her name directly linked to the gods.
ok yeah that makes more sense, if the original prophecy was delivered, her black hair would have been proof of her holiness or whatever. idk abt her name, if the prophecy mentioned a name wouldnt that whore of babylon give her name to amaryllis instead? so he didn't have to change the prophecy much? bc her mom died when she was born right, it wouldn't have been too hard to get rid of anyone else who knew her name and forge a new one. idk i feel like the depths of his scummyness knows no bounds, however he is afraid of death ect. meaning he hasn't got some stupid magical way to come back to life, and i hope his body is burned, "if it bleeds you can kill it." and "what gets burned stays dead." right
In the early chapters we were told that Ashtarte name used to be a name of an ancient god, and her mother (who was a candidate to high priest position too) saw the gods in her dream and they give Ashtarte her name. Also, few chapters after the time skip we learned that Ashtarte was blessed by a god(s) so that why blonde haired 2ML couldn’t bless her himself because the god(s) have more authority.
In the most recent chapters we also learned that the person who fled after seeing the high priest kill the one who received the OG prophecy and the person (the one that fled to escape the high priest) said that Ashtarte “is the one and ONLY light” of the empire.
The high priest changed the prophecy to “light” and “darkness” of the empire, and because people are stupid (and with enough manipulation by the high priest) and black hair being nonexistent in the empire; they believe Ashtarte is “the darkness” and her non-human sister is the “light”
I’m still confused about what the high priest and his companion and trying to achieve though, probably to destroy the empire. I still hope that all those who caused Ashtarte suffering will suffer even more (her family and high priest especially)
