I genuinely believe the author doesn't know their own timeline but let's break this down a bit.

ML and FL got engaged three years ago

FL reincarnated into the body 6 months before. Its not until after this 6 month period that the two become close and loving

A minimum FIVE TO SEVEN YEAR OLD rocks up like "Hey dad". Honestly judging by proportions he could be anywhere from 5-12.

FL goes "OMG he wasn't faithful and his feelings must be a lie" instead of clocking that BS. Even if the child was his it would have been born before they were engaged or met. She instead just up and leaves and then claims that she just did it to help her brothers reputation (???)

FL is freshly 18 and I am (hoping) ML is close in age, maximum like 22 so he would have been like 16 when this kid was "born".

Nothing about this arc makes any sense. I would say that FL should have known better but since she rediscovers the fact her fiance has trauma that makes him anxious every 3-5 chapters I honestly have low expectations. ML isn't much better considering he has done nothing productive except be angry sometimes at things.

So he's not even an assassin, more of a informant, and they literally enslave him and its played for laughs? They make him wear maid outfits and work him too. Sits weird with me.
Honestly I know this kind of trope is used a lot in fantasy stories but the casual nature of it really rubs me the wrong way. I get why they cant let him go, I just feel there was a less jarring way to ensure he doesn't snitch.

The prince is super annoying in the first couple chapters, I grant you that. But he grows and learns, and is one of the only characters in this manga to do so.
It does come out that the OGFL has been cursed and unwillingly emitted charm magic to everyone around the palace, and once this comes out our ML apologizes and becomes a good friend for our FL.
The romantic tones are undertones, and ML has stated several times in later chapters that he refuses to let people disturb our FL's peaceful life. He even takes some actions that shake his own position to do so. Its a mild form of Enemies to Lovers.
As of the story concluding what appears to be its first and most major arc, there is no forced romance between the two and they both acknowledge each other as good friends.
Overall its a solid 3 star manga. Nothing ground breaking but the story was interesting enough, there is some (albeit mild) character development for the surrounding characters (FL is pretty what you see is what you get) and the pacing doesn't drag on too long for what the story offers.

To the 29 of you who used the Strong Female Lead tag. Did you read the story? She sucks and is weak as hell. Physically and mentally. The most typical useless flowery airhead you can get.
Not to mention she has about as much intelligence as a piece of paper and the personality depth of a kiddie pool.
Her husband isn't much better, his story arc took a whopping 5 chapters to completely change his tune and have total forgiveness from the two people his neglect severely damaged.

If you want a mindless story where the only real tension is "How fast is the ML breaking in to save her this time", I mean its fine. Theres worse stories. But there are better ones too.

Its adorable, but don't poke around for depth or you'll be disappointed. This is fluff to the core and if thats what you're looking for its well worth reading.
