i’m…so confused what was the ending? he gets a redemption bc hes not allergic to peanuts? what abt her trauma from him that was never solved, or his psychopathic behavior that was never fixed? like yea sure a few chapters of a new healthy relationship is never required but we never even got there. none of this makes sense, they ended this right at the falling action and never reached the conclusion.
The point is that she can't live without an antagonist. She is equally a problem from the start. There was not redemption arc because he doesn't need one she already chose him from the begining.
it was okay…i feel like they sold both regef and heinrich as these big bad crazy villains in the beginning but then completely ruined them in the end. Once the author got to the middle, they completely sidelined the actual plot and just focused on romance. I love romance as much as the next person but I was really excited for the villains bc they seemed really interesting, especially regef’s traumatic attachment to kayena, but they ended up to just be impulsive, which was really disappointing
