Honestly the art is so drop dead gorgeous I will keep reading anyways. However they skip over so many scenes in the novel, shortening them and taking out character details, Especially when it comes to Calix, I prefer how he’s written early on much more than how he’s portrayed here!

I understand but that’s realistic. I work in childcare. Kids and even teenagers do stupid shit all the time that risks their lives out of their whims it drives me crazy, especially because we have sheltered kids who are always super curious
