If reading this story is making you so angry to the point where you’re still continuously projecting your hatred onto its characters months after it’s established that an antagonist is an antagonist… maybe take a break and go touch some grass. I understand some people aren’t getting their smut fantasies completely fulfilled because they expect things to go from chaos to sex in 2 or 3 chapters, buttttttt news flash, there’s still unanswered plot points to get through.
Edit: The ones who got defensive below are proving my point. Genuinely embarrassing to watch. No one's stopping or invalidating you from having emotional outbursts, so there's no need for mental gymnastics to prove an imaginary point. You're seeing yourselves in my observations and are getting extremely triggered by it, and thats okay. If the shoe fits, it fits.
“Tragedy porn” and then he’s literally labeled as a slave and treated like a person with no rights. People are finding more and more ways to get better at invalidating situations they’ve never been through. Got caught victim blaming, so now they have to reframe things meticulously different. You still ain’t slick though!
Sylhan's reactions are completely valid and acceptable to his situation, considering the slave status, memory loss, man-eating illness, abuse, sa, and secrecy; like holy shit, he's an incredibly strong main character. Big thanks to the author for representing such concepts in a respectful, gradual way, I really am liking the pacing so far.

to one under this story that are complaining and unfairly placing fault on the mc, since you guys do not have the emotional capacity to engage in themes revolving around abuse, slavery, and SA, you're more than welcome to leave. I am finding a lot of y'all to be incredibly insufferable and purposefully ignorant, just so you can take your anger out on something. I'm implore the victim-blamers to self reflect, instead of deflecting.
Trauma and abuse repeats when people are not choosing to heal, Caesar and many others is a prime example of that. Taking your frustrations and feelings of powerlessness out on the external will never truly make you feel healthier for the long term. Either YOU move yourself or get naturally pushed by the tides.
