SPOILERS
I started reading it because of the hype and popularity despite being tagged everywhere among the "yaoi" (even if It's a psychological story that has nothing to do with love). But then i told myself "relationships can be fucked up and not health, so let's read".
Sadly, my opinion did not change. It could have been truly better, but it didn't meet my " standards".
Sangwoo is a ruthless serial killer. He can't feel empathy nor love. Thorough the story we get to know why he let himself become a killer and an abuse, learning about his past. Anywa, that's not an excuse. One does not automatically becomes a monster because of a hard pas. He chose it, instead of looking for help.
He preys on Bum's need for affection just like a narcissist. In the end i hoped for him to pay for what he did in prison and receive psychological support. Killing him up doesn't truly add to the story. It gives no learning.
Bum. I truly feel for the poor boy. He was abused by his own family, developed stalking tendencies because of his need of love and fear of abandonment (again, he's not excuse, of course. They're both adults in the story). He gets abducted, abused, coerced, manipulated in doing things, gaslighted and grows to believe that he is truly loved. After all, the few caring gestures he receives delete all the abuse he received, in his mind. That's Stockholm syndrome, complex PTSD... He can't leave the abuser because he starts to think It's normal, he deserves it.
What I DON'T understand is why making a story about abuse and trauma with no plan to show a glimpse of light for the victim. Ok. That's true, not every story has a good ending. Or an easy one. But this is a psychological story and there is NO psychological support for the victim in the end? That's unreal. That's the reason why Bum died in the end.
I hope everyone understands that this is not a love story and doesn't try to romanticize this unhealthy "relationship". Saying this because i saw people romanticizing this.
I know people are going to hate me for this, but it is very common for people with mental issues to get no support whatsoever. The hospital offered it to Bum, but how can a man who has been abused his entire life have a schedule, go to therapy, and even take the first steps??? The ending was kind of realistic, but it did feel a little rushed in the last chapter.
I know It's common, I've problems too. It's hard to acknowledge and take that step but of course, it will happen. But Bum realised he didn’t want to be hurt and wanted to be happy. Those were BIG steps.
Honestly, It's more realistic for the person to acknowledge the problem, leave and get help, than die. That's my view :/
Sangwoo's death may be realistic because of the fire, but I find Bum's one totally unnecessary.

The seme pisses me off. He still has his mother, while the other has no family left and is clearly swallowing himself in guilt and depression and god knows what disease (are those antidepressants or for a physical disease?)
The seme needs to understand that life is no simple he can't go bulling just because life was unfair
