yes, i think this is an misinterpretation. to start with, he is a sex addict. his primary method of connecting with others period is through sex. i don't think we've even seen him have a single friend he hasn't had sex with before. so now that he has a vagina, it comes with added complications due to bias, bigotry, and simply sexual preference that would make his access to sex with the same women impossible. and second off, it's becoming more and more clear that he doesn't even want to be with anyone who isn't seokjun. it's not about what he thinks a vagina does or how it behaves, but about his mindset that sex is the only thing he as a person has to offer. he believes that if he doesn't have a vagina, then his connection with seokjun is severed (like, "if i didn't have a vagina, then what reason does he have to be with me?"), and it makes him anxious because he doesn't want them to separate. not that i don't understand why you said that, but i think this aspect of his character has a lot more depth than you're giving credit to.
