Ik a lot of ppl hating on Roth but didn't he say he actually didn't want a child? If anything there was one man who forced all of this I'm not saying Roth is innocent but isn't it all the father's doing with the summoning the marriage arrangement and telling FL she needed to have a baby and her og clothing to leave?..Or did I read it wrong..I do take breaks so maybe I remembering thing differently Ik the one thing Roth did was the clothing lie...was that also in the flashback or am I thinking again about the present time...Also I'm blaming the daddy he had a real deep hatred for Roth... dragging in the poor FL...I just feel bad for the baby he was innocent and he also got wrapped in that bs...I still don't think I could have abandoned my baby...Ik a lot will disagree..But she was returning to trash ppl in the modern world as well ..And now one of the trash ppl is stuck there with her...and the other is dead..
You had the right of it. She didn't need a baby for the process to leave, just her original clothing and that's what his dad held hostage in exchange for her having a child.
His father, I assume to ensure their family line continued since a demon can only have a child with a swan, had her summoned and forced her to bare his child in exchange for going home. Roth seemed to have gone about the marriage very innocently to the end (end being Ianna's time there, not the return in the main story), not forcing anything on her because he knew it was a forced marriage on them both, being a pretty kind and considerate husband. Didn't want a child because he knew the hazards of child birth, especially if the child was potentially a demon like him. It was only by convincing him she wanted a child with him out of love that he was willing to cave and have one with her, possibly a risk he wouldn't have placed on her if he knew she didn't actually want a child.
What I do find concerning and suspicious is the photo on the dad's desk of, I assume, Roth's mom. Might be just because of the art style, but she kind of looked like Ianna/Anna. Has me at least slightly worried we're going to find out she's been summoned MORE THAN JUST THE TWO TIMES and is way more deeply involved in this family's bloodline than she realizes.
Ah thanks Idk why ppl are mad at the two the father the only one everyone should point their daggers at..And I agree about that picture...I just wish Roth and Anna could had communicated better..I think alot heartache could have been prevented... Especially if he knew she didn't want that marriage because he did seem closed off at the beginning and Anna made him fall in love..ppl also forget she had a selfish moment too were she didn't want to see him with another woman or swan I guess..She rather him hate her instead of forgetting or falling out of love with her..so again I still don't know why so many ppl are like it was force like he held a gun to her head..And again I'm not saying Roth is innocent either...I just feel the real villain is the father...All over some goofy revenge...
to be fair toward Ianna, Roth did betray her to a degree as well. He had known before she did that she needed her original clothes to go home and never told her. It's why he'd asked and found out she'd lost her original clothes. Granted, to be fair to him, he thought her clothes were completely lost so telling her she needed them to go home would've been like confirming it was impossible and crushing her when it was possible a way to go back would be found. Like imagine talking to a woman who's child went missing and then telling her that statistically if he's been gone this long you'll probably never find him. You don't want to be the one the crushes her with that. And that is mixed with the great relief of thinking the woman he'd fallen for would stay with him.
Yeah that was the thing I couldn't remember if he told her in the present or the past (about the clothing)...which is what I was saying he wasn't innocent on...I wish she could have went back settle her mother so she wouldn't worry and she could have went back without all this drama but lol then we wouldn't have a story...But I'm not mad at either one of them I still fault Roth's nasty father...Thanks for clearing that up for me I always read these stories after a few chapters are uploaded so Ik I might forget or confuse things

Yes protect our baby girl...That nasty blind date too already ordering her food before she even got there! The nerve!!!
