I fully expected the last chapter to do a time jump to Mizuki as a young doctor visiting Rei's grave. I'm actually really relieved it ended happy because I was already crying by chapter 5.

This has the same feeling as a show on Netflix called "End of the F***ing World." It was so good and heartbreaking, but if I had noticed the tragedy tag, I probably wouldn't have read it.
Had the same thought! Similar endings too. I like to believe they had the same fate as the characters in “End of the F***ing World” though. ;_;
I read this because all yhe comments said it was cute, but it really wasn't. The ML took advantage of the FL's stupidity to use her for sex because he was feeling bad about getting broken up with and then proceeded to call her for booty calls whenever he wanted without ever once discussing her feelings about the matter and then was upset that she didn't realize he wanted to be more than friends. This whole thing is a mess.
