honestly, this story is such a complicated opinion of mine. while the ending was beautiful and how they agreed to both grow and learn with each other, the overall story reminded me of the jinx ending and how the author tried to portray kim dans and joo jaekyung’s trauma as the same as if jae didn’t traumatize kim dan for 95% of the story. as much as you can try to overcame the numerous sa, rape, and abusive scenes, nevertheless it will never be forgotten and the fact that it felt pushed underneath a rug gives an uneasy feeling. this story is definitely a guilty pleasure (not sure if that’s a right choice of words) similar to codename anastasia but overall would have been so much better if there were less to almost no rape/sa scenes or a better portrayal of deeper trauma with them ex. cirrus from lost in the cloud. still loved the ending though, wish we got more moments like those
