Guys i got a question how do we become a manhwa translator?? If anyone could answer me pls
learn or already know Korean, have access to raws (either through a someone else or pay for them yourself) is a good starting point. next would be if you're only translating or are you doing everything including cleaning, re-drawing and typesetting. other then that if you're already skilled in those faileds you can apply to companies to work on projects or apply to groups to work on Fan-TL projects.
Everyone sayibg this manhwa is trash and deserve a low rating but if you don’t enjoy something stop reading it and also they will end up happy and have kids together hope you guys stay mad cuz i actually enjoy this manhwa
So, following your line of thinking, if I read a crime novel about a murderer, does that mean I'm a murderer too? Wow, if everyone thought that way, half the movies and books in the world wouldn't have been written... Some stories are dark, not everything is always sunshine and rainbows. You have a choice. You can read about war, murder, and abusive or you can read only happy stories, but you have no right to insult someone for their literary choices because that's just stupid..
This. Whenever I see people trying to drag readers, shame the artist, and their works, and call others out for reading the exact same story they’re reading, I just laugh and call them hypocrites.
A lot of them come across as people with a moral superiority complex who secretly enjoy the story but can’t admit it because they feel guilty about it. So, to make themselves feel better, they start insulting other readers just to convince themselves they’re somehow morally sane.
And what makes it even funnier is that some of these same people don’t mind reading femdom stories, but suddenly act like they’re above everyone else when it comes to this type of trope.
As long as no one is trying to justify his actions here, which is more than I can say for some femdom stories, I don’t really see an issue with people reading stories like this.
At the end of the day, people can consume dark fiction, discuss it, criticize it, enjoy the plot, and still acknowledge that the character’s actions are wrong
Yes, and guess what? Most of the people calling the story trash and insulting the people reading it are still here reading it too. They keep coming back every chapter just to hate-read, complain, and moral-police other readers into feeling guilty or uncomfortable for enjoying the story. Coz If you hate it that much and know the outcome of the plot, why are you still here, if not just being a hypocrite
I’m not saying people who read dark stories support abuse in real life. What I’m criticizing is when assault is romanticized and framed as ‘true love’ without real consequences. There’s a difference between portraying something dark and glorifying it. People are allowed to enjoy it, but others are also allowed to question how it’s being presented
you’re right that people can enjoy dark fiction responsibly. but in this fandom, there are visible cases of readers justifying his behavior because he’s attractive or powerful. defending abusive behavior just because the character is attractive is the problem here, because it shows how easily it gets softened or romanticized. it’s not about shaming readers for reading it. it’s about how criticism gets dismissed or mocked even when it’s focused on how the relationship is portrayed. and yes, not every story has to be sunshine and rainbows, but people are also allowed to say they’d prefer a story where harmful actions aren’t rewarded with a romantic ending. if some people can defend the story, others can also criticize it and call it out.
There’s no point arguing in circles. The pattern is pretty clear: criticism of romanticizing abuse gets reframed as “attacking readers” or “moral policing,” which effectively shuts the criticism down instead of addressing it.
When you look at the replies from Silla and others, the discussion consistently shifts away from the actual point and turns into calling critics hypocrites or overly sensitive. That’s why these conversations never really move forward.
I agree with you on this, but my main issue is when people start shaming and judging other readers for liking or reading these kinds of stories. And honestly, I can assure you that I haven’t seen people here justifying or romanticizing rape and abuse to the extent some people claim. I’m not saying it never happens, but I haven’t personally seen anyone defending Leon’s actions the way you all keep insisting they are.
Yes, Leon is handsome and attractive to some readers and not to others. Yes, he and the FL will have a happy ending despite all the disgusting he’s done. And yes, many readers can get past that, which is why we’re still here reading the story. Otherwise, I doubt most of us would still be around just to hate-read every chapter.
I’ve even seen people call the artist a misogynist because of the story, which I think is unfair and just shows how immature some readers can be. At the end of the day, it’s fiction. Some people choose to criticize it, while others enjoy it for what it is, a dark romance, dark fiction, or whatever label you want to give it.
My point is that neither readers nor artists should be insulted over fictional content. Hate the story if you want, criticize it if you want, but people who enjoy it shouldn’t be shamed either, as long as they understand that certain themes and actions being portrayed are wrong.
And honestly, I wish the same energy people bring to stories where the victim is a woman was also brought into other spaces, especially certain femdom communities. From my experience, I’ve seen far more people openly defend or downplay abuse in those spaces than I have here. Yet I rarely see people fighting those battles with the same intensity over there the way they do here.
At the end of the day rape is highly wrong and bad but can also be consumed and enjoyed when reading for the kink and fetish
What kind of funny example is that? What do you even know about kinks or fetishes? Does murdering someone automatically involve sexual desires or feelings, or what?
You all sound dumb and funny every time you try to play the moral superiority game, lol. Hate the story if you want, but let other people indulge in the story. No one here is anyone else's parent
Lol someone couldn't have a civilized argument and had to block me like a child after throwing insults
Do you lack that much reading comprehension, or are you being intentionally obtuse?
Read my comments again and tell me where exactly I called people out for not liking or criticizing the story solely. What I actually said was that you can do whatever the heck you want, but don't drag other readers or the artist into your hypocritical nonsense.
You guys can't criticize Leon without getting triggered that other people are still reading the story and calling him hot. That's what I find funny. So who's really the triggered one here?
I'm still trying to figure out whether I was the unstable one, or if the person confidently saying something that stupid was actually the one in need of therapy. Either way, arguing with you feels pointless you seem determined to be right at all costs, even when common sense has already left the conversation.
People are allowed to stop reading and leave a low rating. That's literally the point of ratings and reviews. And "they end up happy and have kids together" isn't the gotcha you think it is. A happy ending doesn't automatically make the journey good or erase the things readers disliked along the way. You enjoyed the manhwa? Good for you. Other people didn't. That's how opinions work. Nobody has to stay mad just because they don't share your taste. If people can praise a story, they can criticize it too. That's fair for everyone.
Y'all are a bunch of clowns who are still pressed that other people aren't spiraling out of control over this story.
Read to comprehend. No one is saying that whatever the fuck is happening in the story is okay. It's still a fictional story, and most people are capable of looking past that and continuing to read for different reasons while having different views from yours.
What I find funny is how you hypocritical hate-readers get triggered by other people's comments simply because they aren't leaving negative remarks every single time or constantly trashing the artist for their work. Meanwhile, you're the same people who show up for every update, read every chapter, and then spend your time whining about it.
At some point, you have to ask yourself who's actually more obsessed with the story
Hate readers? Or are these just people expressing their opinions? People here are literally saying that if you can defend a manhwa, they can criticize it too. Yet you're shaming those who are criticizing it. All those paragraphs just to make yourself look foolish. At this point, I don't know who's more triggered the so called hate readers or you over their opinions. You keep talking nonsense without even reading other people's comments. You're telling others that everyone is entitled to an opinion, yet you're attacking people for having one.
Most people here are criticizing the story, not the actual readers. Are you even listening to yourself? At this point, I don't even know what you're trying to defend anymore. Can't even have an opinion nowadays omfg
Shilla, if you had actually read my comment, you'd definitely know what I was trying to say. Just like you said that people can have opinions about this manhwa and even disagree with it, I'm doing the exact same thing. So what's your problem? I don't recall bashing anyone for having some weird fetish. And do you really think people are going to stay quiet when a story literally starts with rape? That's your imagination, babe. What's even weirder is how much you're targeting the people who are against it. I've literally seen comments saying, "He's so hot, I wish he'd do the same to me." I don't know, Shilla. Just go live your life.
And it's Silla, not Shilla, lol.
And yes, you're hate-reading.
What's funny is that you're accusing other people of doing exactly what you're doing yourself. You're constantly trying to lecture other readers on how they're supposed to feel about the plot, acting as if anyone who doesn't hate it must automatically be supporting or defending it.
Meanwhile, you're calling the story trash while continuing to read the same series that other people are enjoying. You complain about it every update, yet you're still here.
So who really sounds like the one giving lectures and trying to control how other people engage with a fictional story?
Fr, they're so embarrassing. They're like that SpongeBob meme where someone's wearing oversized handcuffs and could literally free themselves at any moment, but chooses not to and keeps complaining about being trapped instead.
That's exactly what they look like to me. Nobody is forcing them to read the story. They can drop it, mute it, or move on whenever they want, yet they keep coming back every update just to torture themselves and whine about it, lol
It’s funny how you’re trying to paint me as the villain when I literally said that since we’re on the same platform, people are allowed to criticize it too. You love the story? Great. Others are allowed to hate it. That’s how opinions work. What’s actually wild is how every single one of your comments is just you twisting my words and acting morally superior. I stopped reading your replies because they clearly show how limited your understanding is. You’re out here shaming someone for criticizing a story, then pretending you’re the open-minded one who believes “everyone can have an opinion.” The hypocrisy is embarrassing. If you can obsessively defend this story, I have every right to call it out and dislike it. Nobody’s forcing you to agree with me, just like nobody’s forcing me to worship something you’re weirdly attached to. Learn the difference between disagreement and personal attack.

He’s genuinely so hot fuck im so horny
