Second, Prince yeah I agree with you he is abusive but tell me what did the Duke do that you can call abuse? Look more like a victim of manipulation being use to me. What did the pink hair guy did? Does courting someone mean abuse to you?
So in the end if you take out every one who did something bad and lable that "abuse", even FL and the holy knight did wrong at some point. No ending for all of them!!!!
So let's say alternative ending for all character but not the prince who was the problematic one.. at this point why not getting an ending for him too? It wouldn t make sens "ending for everyone but the prince"
And if he get an ending it would give the same effect of having a "bad ending" in an otome game

I’ve read worse male leads than this. If this were a harem story, the author would have taken a different approach with the Crown Prince. That’s what I mean when I say it would work better as a harem. Don’t get me wrong, Roger is still the best. But again, if this were a harem, there wouldn’t be any torture. Since it isn’t, the story needs a villain.
