I think it really depends on where in the world you live, cause I got the lowest income you can get in my country. And my horse stays at my moms farm (that aint really a farm, more like a house in the country side with enough field to have three horses and a pony) so I dont have to pay for ''housing'' only his food and vet bills. and of course all his equipment. (but he is only 2 so there arent much) - If I had to have him ''Housing'' on a 'horse farm' I couldn’t afford it.
I earn around 1142 dollars a month which is not a lot in my country, a tiny apartment cost around 857 dollars a month and that is without water and electricity.
But yes I have a horse who I freaking love and we can manage as long as he doesnt invite the vet to often XD

Don't get me wrong, he has his creppy/psycho moments but I feel so bad that he will never get to know nor experience love. And that the King knew and regrets neglecting him, and the princess saying 'everyone knows how much you love him' - well apparently not, Jacob doens't know shit!
Jacob is my favourite villain, cause he is so well written. I really love the way he is written. And it pains me so much to see him getting treated like that and that he thinks his family hates him - which there are some truth to. It can NEVER be Jacobs fault that he was born. And he definitely did not deserve the treatment he got because of his fathers actions.
There is so much character to him compared to many other villains.
