It's incredible how in every heterosexual romance I read, most of the time the female protagonists are stoned for some reason. Either because they're too quiet, too weak, too shy, too stubborn, too effeminate, too masculine, too annoying. They always find something to hate them for. What hurts me is that this hatred comes from other girls; they diminish the female characters and glorify the male characters just because they're good-looking. Hori has a very complex and interesting backstory; with her absent parents, she had to mature quickly to take care of her brother. A girl who takes such good care of her family, with excellent grades in school, takes good care of the house, and yet they say that Myamura deserved a better girlfriend, haha. All this because Hori has her own sexual desires. Just because she's dating someone doesn't mean she should abandon who she's always been. Myamura knew this and still fell madly in love with her (it was his choice, so don't bother him!).
