i personnaly liked the story? it's meant to be toxic at first and then become not toxic. it may be a classic repetitive story but i loved it.
i feel like it progressed naturally, even tough they never really really confessed their feelings??, i thought it was interesting that they both fell in love independently and not at the same time, and then had their heart broken also alone. i wish jaekyung suffered more because of dan, like he already suffers on his own but i want him to suffer because of dan and what he did to him. well even if i say that i'm quite satisfied since he started to crumble under his guilt after realizing how much worse his actions had been on dan, like he already knew he had been a bstrd but he felt worse after knowing dan was asaulted and driven out of his line of work. and that was fantastic, i love seeing caracters actually suffer the consequences of their own actions. i was very disapointed that the night before his return match he still decided to have sex, even if it was green sex (i think, i don't really remember,?), i really wanted him to get over his jinx by his own initiative not because dan was in life/death situation. but oh well at least he broke that stupid jinx.
hehe that ring scene was goooood.
i think the both fell in love for the "wrong" reasons, like dan especially had no reason to feel anything before jaekyung's redemption arc but that's why it's toxic right , cuz he's trying to cope with living with his abuser in whatever way he can, he felt gratefull for ridicoulously insignificant or misenterpreted things, whitch i do not blame him for , i'd never blame the victim. (i'm talking about when he felt happy joo gave him his sport jacket even though jooo didn't do it to make dan happy, he just did it cuz the others got on his nerves. and other incidents like this )

during the "redemption " arc jaekyung still kissed dan abruptly without hs consent witch isn't ideal but jaekyung and dan aren't ideal cuz they haven't really had the time to tink about romance in their respective lives, jaekyung was training and dan was busy studying and working for his grandma. so i give them the okay to be toxic and imperfect, though if see anything red during the side stories i'll killl that damn horse.

idk what to say, it wasn't predictable like some manhwas, i want to read the novel but i can't find it completed anywere, if you know were i can find it please tell me!!

i don't like when the story drags on for too long and starts to extend to side chracters (when ther's no plot, i mean) for ex when they just try to give every character a good ending by pairing them with someone,, yes dimitry is funny and has a very powerfull face card, it would be a waste to just end things without seeing more of him but i feel like we're in a good place, there's more to be explored on sasha's side and caesar, (a bit of chracter improvement wouldn't hurt), regarding leonid, if he succeds then it's the end of the story, both lee won and caesar die, that's it, (dimitry will be sad but he brought it on himself) i feel like it's a good stoping point

hehehe big muscular bottoms are my new favorite trope if you can even call it that.
i liked this one because despite there being a lot of fwoop fwoop thwoop thwoop, somehow it's never boring and there still is a lot of story and some interesting plot lines.

also i have to say, the art style is so good, there were some very devious pannels in there heheehe i can still see them when i close my eyes.

since this is adaptaded from a novel i'm interested in seeing how much of the story was left out ( due to deadlines or the artist's preference,... ) or changed, does anyone know if the novel was actually translated?
