I dont think she’s faking it, she’s been deprived of care and traumatized since childhood. What she’s doing looks more of a defense mechanism to protect herself, think about it, she thinks they’ll stop caring for her once she stopped having bruises, the inner dialogue of herself as well questions the care she’s been receiving from the ml and mil. Yes I somewhat agree with you, she is faking it but while continueing to do it almost everyday she developed some problems as I have mentioned. And yessss I really want them to know I want them to trust each other and when that happens she will be able to reveal it all by herself or maybe they will figure it out by themselves but she really needs people by her side and people who offer her comfort and love.
