She has Elma and Rudy as female friends even tho they met main thru other means. She will probably make more friends, but for now they r guys bc the focus is on her using her knowledge and skill. Men in those times r into innovative stuff while women worry about social drama and fashion. Maybe later in her social circle can expand but currently she is doing just fine with guys around her
