Well this was wholesome (above other things). Poor MC is probably watching a horror movie for the first time(? in a very long time now at least). His poor heart! As someone who have never willingly watched a horror movie, I'd cover my face too.
Also I just feel sad that what MC feels for the ML is just so pure, that admiration goes above and beyond, but ML had to be the biggest dick ever (pun intended).
