Uh the manhwa strayed away from the novel long ago lol. But yes, they eventually have 2 kids one alpha one omega I think.

What is different from the novel?

It was a long time ago since I real it, and I used mtl, but I remembered that Ben didn’t get hit by the empress, and mc never actually reconciled with the emperor like in the manhwa. ML was pretty much a green flag to the mc. I mean tbf in the manhwa too. But in the novel, I don’t remembered any conflict or ml getting mad jealous. What I like about the manhwa is that it did explain the story, and kinda heal the relationship between mc and his father. It also explained about the herace family, and why the empress is the way she is. I’m not sure if they will keep the same ending for the empress as the novel though.

We haven't actually strayed that far from the novel actually. I have read it a few times and recently. They have fleshed stuff out a bit more but like it has stayed true to the story. I'll look up the chapter for you. After this camping arc thing we are pretty much in the end game. Unfortunately no babies!

Ah wait idk anything anymore. I did read it recently but I had a baby and am sleep deprived and I am looking at the novel right now and I don't know what the frick is even happening. I'll just reread it all again LOL.

On Yoochae's birthday as they finally startef dating. Jihan brings him a cake but he'll see Water-Noona and Yoochae talking in real life. That's where Jihan realizes Yoochae has been lying all along

I can’t believe his lies continued until they started dating. I really hope the chasing and begging arc of the ML will be satisfying.

why cant he just say the truth? whats his reason behind it?

I'mma try my best to summarize it based on memory. But basically, Jihan and Yoochae already met when they were kids. Yoochae comes from an abusive family and he often likes to stay outside in the cold during winter. Jihan often gives him candy and that's how Yoochae grows close to him and like him. They stopped meeting and only met again after a few years. Where Yoochae attended Jihan's tournament. Sadly only Yoochae remembers the other and I think Jihan said something could be misinterpreted as rude (bonus cuz Jihan thought Yoochae was a girl). Heartbroken, they stopped meeting until.. fast forward, the present. Before Yoochae played HOL and becoming a pro gamer, he used to watch his relative stream cuz Jihan is also there. Each time he tries to match with Jihan but because they have the same roles, they can only go against each other with different teams. (This was funny cuz the first time they played together was Yoochae following Jihan around the whole game. To which, after the game, Jihan scolded Yoochae in dms because he was throwing the game). This was Yoochae's only way to become closer with Jihan but he wanted more. Soo.... his roommate (forgot his name, pro gamer) suggested to make a joke. And that's where Yoochae typed "Jungle diff" thing (I'm not really sure what this means because this I don't really play League, ig it's supposed to be offensive?). At the same time, Jihan was already going through a lot because of Euichan constantly lying to him. And his was the nail in the coffin, resulting for Jihan to quit the game. Realizing what he's done, Yoochae felt really guilty bcs he didn't realize what he said. (even the roommate felt bad).

Yada yada yada, they met again in the current game they're in. And Yoochae already realizes that ImSleepy is Jihan. Soooo, to avoid making the same mistake and making Jihan quit this game too, he hid his identity as the HOL player who offended Jihan and made him quit.


imo, the reason he lied was pretty shallow. but it comes to a point because... he even asked his roommate to play his account so that he could convince Jihan that the HOL player and Chae Yoojeong are different people. His plan was that he wanted Jihan to forget Chae Yoojeong existed because he was afraid what would happen if Jihan put the two in two together.

Although, you might not be satisfied with this. (But personally, I like this direction). Yoochae didn't do any chasing arc much. (More like he couldn't). Becauseee, Jihan handled it very well and he decided to part ways maturely. Jihan wanted to put some distance between them because Jihan might crash out and hurt Yoochae as well. And this is good too, so now Yoochae can focus on his career while Jihan focuses on his school. Jihan also finds Yoochae's obsession uncomfortable, so Jihan wants Yoochae to work on that before he could forgive him. Anyways,, much time passes, Jihan moved forward and was really successful in his school/work life. But Yoochae becomes more and more miserable, ending up in the hospital due to stress and malnourishment(?). When Jihan visited, Yoochae was sorry because he couldn't work on himself. Soooo, they parted ways again.


But overall, the distance between them will work out. Both Jihan and Yoochae needed that to work on themselves and reflect upon what happened.


They will reconcile when Jihan got setup a blind date with an older woman (but not exactly a blind date, but the older woman needed someone to accompany her and pretend it's a date). Yoochae will see them at the same restaurant and will get jealous and follow them outside when Jihan was about to leave.

Jihan ultimately forgives Yoochae because he finally saw Yoochae matured and gotten better again, focusing on his career and was successful, etc. And no more lying hahaha
