Yesss Seph thank you I absolutely despise paradise scans, as well as Kaisen and Mythic. I automatically refuse to read any manhwa if they're the ones uploading it. I wish they'd all get the fuck off this site and realize how much we all hate them
Huh. I like sephs uploads too but that doesn't mean the others all suck. Like wtf? Myth toons and kaisen aren't bad at all. They certainly work harder on translations than paradise scans. If I see paradise translating, i know it's gonna be bad xD but sometimes myth/kaisen may be the only ones translating a series and I appreciate it since I can actually read it even with a few spelling errors. I think there is enough room here for fan translations and official uploads.
I think what we really need is just a site update to better sort translators like other websites I've seen. So it's easier to choose the better translations and ignore the others. It is annoying reading one then suddenly thrown into a bad one xD but I don't mind different people uploading in general. Yea yea and California with almonds or the meat industry. Ai isn't the problem, it's the lack of efficiency. I'm sure as we advance we will use more efficient methods that don't take as much water. Give it time. For me, I'm ready for ai robots like in " Master, Please Leave a Mark" BL. Though we will probably be dead before that happens haha xD
That's an insane take.
AI *is* a big part of the problem. A lot of places that don't have clean water now didn't have that issue before AI did that to the water. People's media literacy and ability to write a proper, grammatically correct, and coherent sentence went to total shit once they started relying on AI to write for them. People are getting lazy and stupid due to reliance on AI, and that alone is destroying humanity and any semblance of intelligence future generations will have.
You want to support AI? Then don't get upset when your area looses clean water access. Don't get upset when job applications get denied because an AI looked at it and decided it wasn't good enough. Don't get upset when someone accuses you of writing with AI because your sentence was grammatically correct. Don't get upset when highschool level children can't read words like "constitution" or even write. You wanted that, so don't flake once you actually feel the impact yourself.
I respect your opinion of disliking AI. There are pros and cons to everything. Ai is a tool, and utilizing it in a way that helps you instead of over relying on it is the way to go, but I understand why some won't like it. Im...pretty sure resume screening like that happened before generative ai. Plus, the main problem is building a data center in an area that already has droughts. Not ai itself. That was a bad decision. Though again, i believe they are actively going for ways to build them with less water consumption.
I'm not upset at all. I'm okay with change and realize it'll be rough at first but regulations will continue to change with ai as we iron out the problems. Colleges right now are trying to do that, teaching people to work with ai as a tool but not have it do your work for you. They also have more programs to detect ai usage so people will get in trouble for trying to use AI to cheat.
There are no pros to AI. Humans do NOT need AI to help them, as again, that ruins a person's ability to write properly. If people need AI to check if they're writing is grammatically correct, and have it fix it, no one will ever learn how to write properly because they have something that will do it for them. And right now, most people don't care to even use it as a helping tool anyways, they simply use it to do it all for them.
Data centers are being built in areas that were fine places, not experiencing any drought. Data centers ARE an issue, and trying to somehow reason that they're not is ignorant. Whether or not people are trying to find ways to limit the environmental damage of them, matters very little when they're currently damaging our water and environment to the point there may be no return or healing from it. This isn't a thing where we can just sit around and wait for it to get better, when millions of people are suffering right now because of them. And who's to say how long it'd take for any real changes to happen to improve them? It could be years or decades. Then what? By that point, it'll have some irreparable damage to the world.
And the AI detection programs you speak of are total nonsense. They do not work, no program can accurately detect AI, neither for writing nor for art. AI detection programs flag the United States Constitution as AI written. Countless college and high school students get accused of and failed because a nonsensical AI detection program flagged their work as AI. I'm one of those college students who have had their papers flagged as AI written, simply because I write grammatically correct. I was lucky enough to be able to convince and somewhat prove to my college that I did not use AI, but many aren't that lucky. There is no fullproof way to detect AI usage, and the detection sites are total garbage.
That does suck, I havent had to experience that in college and can understand why you'd distrust it then. I don't think that's objectively true that there are no pros to ai though. Hmm I'd recommend checking out some independent fact checking sites when you have the time. There's a lot of viral claims on social media going around that's not really correct. Either way, think we will have to agree to disagree here. Though I really do think the site should implement the sorting by translator for Manga chapters that ive seen on other Manga sites.
I'm confused- Renjaku and Hana already paired, already bit his nape. So why is Hana asking him to bite him still/again when it wouldn't do anything since they're already mated/bonded/paired?
