I was excited for this manhwa but I didn’t expect the historical context to be this prominent… it’s deeply disappointing that the author chose this specific setting to write about these characters, and frankly it is a little uncomfortable reading this while knowing so much about this time period
People are panicking sm but I’m not worried at all. Personally I think the story will play out pretty predictably, and I doubt the author would go toward a direction of an open ending. I haven’t seen many open endings in manhwas. Ofc that doesn’t stop authors from doing it, but it’s just less likely. I also doubt this is foreshadowing the ending but moreso the conflicts jinwoo and taeyoung will face. Maybe the open ending he talks about as Noah walks out into the real world is Taeyoung confronting his true feelings. We don’t know what the real world is like, it could be terrible or actually nice; similarly, Taeyoung may not realize his feelings now, but when he confronts them, it could elicit either a negative or positive reaction. Who knows? That’s why he called it an open ending.
