I think the comments are overreacting a bit when it comes to the teacher. Yes it's a bit odd western wise but it's really not that bad. Nakamura is thinking the teacher is a love rival but nakamura has constantly and consistently been someone to overthink things and overreact to things. And not once has Hirose or the teacher ever said in the Manga that they want to persue one another or even just like another. The closest we've gotten to that is hirose saying that the teacher is really cool and even then you can't interpret that as anything romantic. In anime school culture there's always a teacher that the students look up to.
If you're not used to anime BL culture just don't read it, stop reading things way too deeply. What people are forgetting the Manga is viewed from nakamura's point of view therefore things are going to be more dramatised and you can tell when it's being dramatised.
You see this a lot when it comes to BL romance Manga, it's dramatised. All it takes is some good reading comprehension and connecting the 3 dots to understand that they aren't going to do a teacher x student scenario.
[ SLIGHT SPOILERS beyond this point ]
When nakamura was in the nurces office and you could see hirose and the teacher behind the curtain we got both povs of both nakamura and what he was thinking was going on and what was actually going on, they were just talking about normal things, nakamura was misunderstanding the situation, it showed us what was really happening and that happens throughout the entire Manga, it shows what nakamura was thinking and what was actually happening.
I found this on the recommended section of mangago and its a really cute and good read. I highly recommend if you don't wanna read something with angst and just want some fluffy feels this is the one I recommend!
