I haven't read this in two years ...and after rereading it, I have to say this is one of the best stories of all time.
I just love Shuri so much. I can't even imagine how she endured all that and got killed in the end in the first timeline. And even in this timeline she had to grow through a lot too. But I hope she can be happy....I love Nora x Shuri but in the back of my mind Jeremy is always there,maybe in another life(he's mine tho).I love Jeremy but even he knows that he can't love her openly, and even if he did...she will have to go through the dirt again because of the society.
Nora, he's such a gentle and loving man. I love how he doesn't want anything in return..and doesn't want Shuri to feel pressured by his feelings. I could go on about them for a while ...(I also love all the other children too)

Even if there are people that like Johannes character, I have to say I don't like him. I get their point of view about him being a complex character but I just couldn't like him.
To me, I felt bad for all the older woman(the empress , duchess and the previous marchioness) although they were and are happy with their wives..their first love still haunts them. And knowing that the woman know, I just felt very sorry for them.
Although the duke has clearly moved on and the Emperor is also showing a difference..I just feel bad. Maybe it's just me... I'm not even that old enough to know much but that's what I feel. And Johannes did not have any right to ruin Shuri's childhood. I remember being confused why at first Shuri kept complementing Johannes, ten after reading it again I get her. She had seen both his sides, he gave her many opportunities and a new life..but that doesn't give him a chance to take her innocence and childhood.
Man , I love Shuri. Truthfully if it weren't for her I wouldn't have liked anyone else.
