is there any way to hide the site temporarily? like for just a few days or something, so it doesn't get detected amidst the heat with pirate sites. bc a lot of people have been hinting on sites like similar pronunciations, emojis, etc. there's also a lot of creators talking abt pirate sites that actually kinda worsens everything. so yeah, really, stop talking about it anywhere

FOR MORE CONTEXT
Back then things spiraled fast and got way too much attention. Users were panicking and posting all over MGo similar to what is happening now but much worse. Comment sections were flooded people were mass reporting and messaging the site and everything got chaotic especially with a legal threat happening publicly.
Disabling comments helped calm things down on MGo’s side but it did not actually solve the problem. The people involved just took it elsewhere (twttr) which is exactly what happened. Lzhn and wbtn ended up being pulled into it too (bc the author's work was serialized on lzhn) and it caused a lot of panic at the time.
Its been nearly 10 years now, and MGo is still running and the uploader involved was never taken to court and is still uploading.
TL;DR
i know it CAN play a role, but just getting exposure or even disputes with authors arent enough to close a site. MGO has faced several disputes, even lzhn and wbtn somehow got involved, but the site is still running and jjcat was never held accountable.
I have never felt so devastated to spot a good story this early
