I don't remember the events, but the side story in the novel is a bit different from the one in the manhwa. I remember almost not reading the side story because the ML became sort of a dick. I have to reread it now. I believe the ML was the one who kept his distance and didn't want to introduce the MC to his family. There was also the conflict surrounding their inability to have pups. I think the ML was being pressured by the people around him to have pups, and he was being an a-hole to the MC because of it.

He wasn't being an ahole. He knew Heeseong was competitive and he didn't want that pressure on Heeseong. Heeseong was the one who ultimately decided they should have pups. He didn't want Chiyoung harassed by his clan.
I'll read the novel later and treat it as a different story from this so let me enjoy how green this is
Okay, so basically, most of the novel sites have been taken down, and I can’t find the exact novel anymore. But I vaguely remember that there was a scene where the ML was at a party, and the puppy actually went after him, and then he overheard people talking about them having a child and all that. Was it something like that? I vaguely remember it that way, so I’m guessing that’s how it happened.
There was also a scene where he woke up while mc was sleepwalking, if I remember correctly. It was from the ML’s perspective too, right? I read the side stories a really long time ago, so I’m honestly not 100% sure if I’m remembering everything correctly.
