The things bothered me while reading it were mostly the lack of communication+courage and the lost ring (how can someone not realize they lost something so important, he literally tried taking it out himself but later said he didn't, neither did he try to find it near the table they were sitting)...

From the start till the end ml doesn't share anything with mc but still expects mc to share everything with him which can't be a healthy relationship at all.
