this is pissing me off. The novel is full with more emotion and depth and even though I understand some info has to be cut to fit within the page count, it’s still possible to keep the original elements? In the scene where Richard freed the slaves, he demonstrated his swordsmanship and wore a cloak to hide his identity from Enoch…also Enoch was still chained and Richard slashed them with his sword which I thought was a cool scene. Enoch’s reasons were also valid when they were explained in the novel. Here they’re just played off as a joke but he expressed them with doubt about the person that came to free him. He was wary of the guy in the cloak because he thought he had an ulterior motive.
