Completely understandable. I guess I’ve just seen this type of dynamic too often in BL’s that I’ve grown used to it. But, it’s clearly something that would and or should never be acceptable in real life. But, I guess that’s the beauty of fantasy, it’s all made up, and doesn’t matter. But, of course, that doesn’t mean it won’t bother you any less. It is still surprising how many authors choose such a questionable dynamic between their romantic interests. I will never understand how it’s because such a popular phenomenon. I guess people read it enough so they continue to make stories with the same or similar dynamic. If it works don’t fix it.
