Plot wise, I don't get is why the switch up in the top's behaviour happened. Did I miss something? He was annoyed and mad when they first met, and we know he didn't like guiding and was tricked into getting it in the first place. So why did he suddenly become obsessed with this guide? They had only had one prior unpleasant interaction. Did I miss something because of the translation?
Nah I think it was because he was his type, seemed like it only clicked after interacting with him a bit at his home. That and I think he just wanted to mess with him as well and ended up getting actually interested.
I remember reading a part of one of the last side stories by accident a couple of years ago, so I knew they were going to reincarnate, and Geum Hoo would be the only one to keep his memory. From what I remembered, their original story would have a bittersweet ending. Just based on what their dialogues and thought bubbles brought up. On top of that, I am aware of bwat's love for angst.
All that is to say, I got punched in the gut by the side stories nonetheless.

Oh, I'm not using the term loosely. Stalking is a pattern of repeated, unwanted attention, harassment, or contact. The uke repeatedly made it clear that he didn't want this attention. The seme proceeded to form and enact plans to force contact by either entering uke's workplace as an employee, or jeopardizing his reputation, intentionally cornering him.
I agree that there are plenty of other stories with more severe obsessive behaviour, but I still believe this to be stalking. And yes, the uke is an enabler, which is partially why he pmo too
Of course this is a humorous story, and isn't to be taken seriously, that's why I still enjoy reading it. However, I do analyze characters through a realistic lens when I read.
This is just my take, but if someone acted the way seme does irl, I'd be very concerned.

I actually ended up finishing it! It was good. I don't regret finishing this time. It did think of dropping it a couple times, but kept reading on principle. I just feel guilty dnf-ing when the plot and characters are good. (My shelf of dnfd books is staring at me as I type this XD)
Anyhow, if you're like me, I say give it a shot. It's a good story, and the ending is cute. I doubt you'll feel like it was a waste of time. It's just a but winded is all. I def won't be reading the spin-off though...
I think its because there's not much romantic development. They get together pretty early on, and it isn't crazy exciting compared to some other stories. Otherwise, the plot isn't deep enough to grip me without much romance
