Okay so basically to sum it up, she continues to love him while also forbidding him to touch her etc. and remember the king? Yeah that fucker is still around and he wants carlothian GONE. So the demon that the princess summoned takes advantage of that, possess the king’s body, so that he becomes an even worse dude than he already is. This makes the king’s desire to destroy carlothian even stronger, so what he does is he teams up with the guy that’s obsessed with Ariadaline to kidnap her. They get her away from carlothian, kidnap her, kill her maid and the knights protecting him, and take her to the imperial dungeon. The then send’s carlothian a threatening message saying like “if you don’t want me to hurt her you better come here alone” and he does. He finds her trapped in the dungeon, and then because they can kill her anytime he complies and doesn’t do anything while they chain him in another dungeon facing her. They then get someone to torture her by cutting her flesh off and making her sing so she heals, and they keep doing this till she can no longer speak. Carlothian manages to break free from his chains, from which Ariadaline then begs him to take her out of her misery cuz she’s in so much pain. So he chokes her to fucking death, since they both think she can just reincarnate but then ofc the author said “haha jokes on you” AND SHE DOESNT COME BACK. SHE ACTUALLY FUCKING DIES FOR GOOD. Ofc carlothian goes insane and doesn’t believe it, so he takes her dead body home, cleans it, and lies in bed with her for a whole month before he finally comes to terms with her death. And that’s where it fucking ends. Actually terrible it ruined my whole day

wait im confused bc I read another spoiler and that’s not the ending, after she is tortured and dies he does lie with her dead body for days but then he kills the ppl at the castle+emperor then kills himself. then both of them get revived to the past again where carliotian kills the emperor+devil (im skipping over a bunch of details) but ending is apparently they live happily ever after

Yep I’m a free reader so I didnt pay for the more head chapters, but I just caught up and yeah they go back in time but like I’m pretty sure carlotian isn’t the same after that entire experience? She can touch him now but like he’s lowkey a shell of his former self or something

I've read a lot of books where the author just seems to loathe the FL's where they just suffer and suffer forever but in this case it seems the author despises Both the ML and FL yo. I think the Princess is also despised smh. She's my fav character tbh.
