When MC goes go retrieve it, he meets our ML, who was an old high school classmate. Issues is, back in high school, ML got bullied by his friends, and our MC (who usually helps others who get bullied) did nothing to help him. ML tries to guilt trip MC into a relationship, and is very toxic (e.g., he says that he is going to kill himself when our MC tries to leave).
