I thought so at the start, too, cause of his "girly" small body type/looks. But everyone calls him Kyou (isn't that a boy's name) and he wears boy's clothes. Of course, could be a disguise.
Honestly I'm good with a cliche ending, protagonist wins with no casualties or plot twists,, just killing the remaining two murders
