I’m only up till chapter 71, but it’s driving me crazy. Etienne is in such a precarious situation and is constantly struggling to stay afloat and the ml is just pouting and clinging EVEN IN PUBLIC when it could put Etienne in a worse situation. Like Etienne is kind of a dumbass too with the amount of secrets he keeps but at least there’s a reason he’s like that he genuinely doesn’t feel like he can tell anyone anything for fear of putting them in danger. Wtf is ml’s problem lol he’s just so horny all the time when it could be genuinely so dangerous for the man he claims to love to show it openly. Does it get better @novel readers? Because I’m constantly getting tonal whiplash from tense scenes with the empress to cutesy banter and sex.
