Every time I read a new chapter, I become more and more impressed with this adaptation. The visuals are more than what I could've imagined, and there are even added scenes that weren't in the novel that give us a glimpse into the other characters in the story, which was rare for part 1 when it was very infrequent for other characters besides Kim Soleum to get a POV. Also, and I cannot stress this enough, the Good Friend doll...is too cute...!!!!
Does anybody have any recs like this where the ml figures out she's not the original villainess but like...good?
She hurt herself to get the medicine but like...she didn't need to do that...she could've just said she hurt herself...I mean like nobody even checked to make sure she really had an injury...

I feel like this manga really highlights how minorities are treated in our society. Outright saying that beastfolk are more likely to win a court case against humans simply because of their race, the way beastfolk take credit for humans' efforts, how humans are looked down on simply because they're not beastfolk. It's a well done allegory imo, and ofc the slow burn romance is cute too lmao. I hope to see more beastfolk who don't discriminate against humans ^^
Umm Idk how to feel. I only got to ch 2 but even just ch 1 made me want to stop reading after Hyosin legitimately almost assaulted him. Maybe he gets better but so far (ik 2 chapters isn't very far tho) I haven't seen anything that makes me think I'll like him. Jungseo said he should take responsibility for fracturing Hyosin's nose but that was fully that guy's fault, and now he's also a shitty roommate who doesn't help around the apartment even though he's staying there for free. I kind of hate him tbh. Can someone please tell me if it's worth it to keep reading?
I personally think it gets a lot better. Especially since the whole reason MC is unsure of whether he like ML is bc he's such a bum It's pretty funny and they both geniuenly like each other and complete each other.
I remember reading this a long time ago and I kept reading it bc I was looking for the part where he realized the extent of his mistakes but each chapter just filled me with rage and made me wish that he'd relive his life over and over again in a cycle of endless suffering until he realized that actually she's the one who's been suffering all this time, so um...can anyone tell me if he gets character development that makes it worth picking this up again?
No worries, he does regret and actually comes pretty close to your prediction of suffering. It may be tedious (I was the same and just finished it today) but it’s worth it if you have the time for it haha

I’m not sure how much you’ve read, so here’s the chapters with context:
Ch 43 - Violet finally reveals the bodyswap secret and leaves his ass
Ch 48 - depressed ML wants to die, ends up swapping bodies instead.
Ch 67 - ML starts planning to off himself and to free Violet from her suffering. I do suggest continuing from here since it’s the cooling off arc where ML prepares a will for Violet and she reflects on her feelings for him.
Ch 82 - ML proceeds with the plan. Also recommended to continue from here.
Ch 134-136, ML faces a reality if Violet actually succeeded in killing herself. There’s more of an impact if you read the happier chapters before this.
If you want more suffering, he does share the experience of having a child, ch 148-153 for the end (and takes on the pain of childbirth muahahahaha!)
But I do recommend the forgiveness arcs and learning to understand each other. Or if that’s not for you, then at least Violet’s revenge arc against the people who wronged her. It was pretty satisfying imo
