So yeah.. reading a lot of takes on how Mok is facing consequences etc...
True the last chapter stunt he pulled, sure he should maybe face consequences...but are we absolving the weirdo twink and Nanjo who too partook for no justifiable reason actually to sleep behind Suhwa's back all the while processing his love?
Mok & Nan were consenting adults into the relationship...whatever twisted it was...and happened to catch feelings ...
Also I find it annoying in such kind of stories where actually every character has something to lose to pile on just one character who wasn't even some red flag imo... The twink was actually evil imo..
Anyhow I wish people read it with more nuanced. Discussions here are still better than what I'm seeing on twitter. Asking Mok to grovel or whatever. Nanjo shouldn't have gotten into any relation if it was such a dealbreaker.
I like both Mok and Nan so much from S1 ...but seeing the dogpiling on Mok breaks my heart.
I just hope people communicate and resolve.
Sorry I'm emo(。ノω\。)
I don't get this urge for readers to portray one party as a victim when there are situations like this. Nanjo was equally consenting to this whole shenanigan. Mok atleast tried conveying his feelings Nan just chose to run away. This is not the case where the uke is a victim of any kind...maybe only of circumstances and his own choices/actions.
That twink also omg was just unbearable.
Reading Mok's backstory...if one goes back to read ch1-2 ..Nan is exactly the judging type Mok faced growing up... His "friend" threw him under the bus under implied character assassination all the while playing gold digger... Damn the boy still actually learned how to be loving towards another person despite his history....
Thissss I’ve been saying this from the jump Nanjo was making assumptions and judging him Mok had never done anything to him! At some point he had to recognized the facade and chose to ignore it. Tryna act like sleeping behind his back was some brave hero act when you decided to believe whatever about someone you know nothing about calling him names and all. He’s 32 bffr. In the beginning chaps SunSun literally tells Mok he tricked him into sleeping with him helloo?? But people so focused on Top=Bad/red flag like grow up fr. Mind you I love all three characters they are all morally grey but people keep choosing to only read at face value it’s annoying fr
It wasnt only in the last chapter though. Despite their agreement, he was being too much most of them. What he did to Nanjo multiple times could be counted as dubcon. Just because Nanjo came during sex, didnt cut him off, and eventually enjoyed their intercourses doesnt make it less dubcon. Also, nobody says that Twink is a saint, he literally mentioned about outing Nanjo in the season finale. As for Nanjo, he was a fool for thinking everything is black and white and for letting Mokyeok get away with things, clearly not perfect, but thats all, you cant put him and Mokyeon in same bracket.
He needs personal growth in many aspects, and by growth I dont mean he should take responsibility for or try to save a depressed Mokyeok. Also, yes, Mokyeok should apologize for what he did, not only that time in season finale.
The only dubcon perhaps I can agree would be S1 finale..for which I say Mok getting his share of suffering..but Nan was no way pressurized logically he was older than Mok, physically same as Mok, he was financially far more powerful than Mok and actually could destroy him if he wanted with his wealth and power.
He could walk away anytime but he didn't. Reducing him to just to being a fool is infantilizing at best.
The point was all of them were morally questionable but ppl dogpiling on Mok.
Season 1 ending as the only dubcon is crazy lmaoooo. Do we even read the same thing, or does yaoi just do wonders to brain cells? The sex scenes must be that hot they melt brains. Anyway, Im not infantilizing him, im saying hes a pathetic damn fool for this knight-in-shining-armor act, doing all that for someone you barely know except for the ‘perfect poor little victim’ image you created your head.
Mokyeon loving him, and Nanjo being a rich, powerful person who somehow agreed to their deal, doesn’t make Mokyeon any less violent, nor does it make their intercourses any less like borderline assault. If they want to have real chance in relationship they need to learn few things, mokyeon for a example should learn that no is no and know when to stop.
I guess "borderline" is perfect title for this book, both mcs are borderline crazy in their own way but still you cant put Nanjo and Mokyeon in same bracket.
Anyway, I cant remember the part where Sunhwa and Nanjo are in a relationship. I thought they were more of a non romantical borderline sugar daddy–sugar baby situation (how did they even cross paths lmao) but somehow Nanjo created a whole narrative about Sunhwa being a poor little victim of the big bad Mokyeon (and again, none of this justifies the borderline assault in their sexual interactions so)
“ but still you cant put Nanjo and Mokyeon in same bracket.” this is exactly what the original commenter was talking about they started off saying “
So yeah.. reading a lot of takes on how Mok is facing consequences etc...” pointing out how everyone is viewing the story black and white and with no nuance because they are only pointing out that Mok is wrong painting Nanjo as this damsel in distress bottom that needs saving and that’s further from the truth. The three of them would’ve never gotten entangled had it not been for SunSun. Nanjo judging a book by its cover calling him names and looking at him with pure disdain villainizing him when he through the few times they were together has surely already realized that things aren’t what he thought, but did he admit that? No. No one is saying that Mok is a saint but everyone is only commenting on him as if Nanjo didn’t make him into a villain by his own assumptions. It’s not about who was worse because they are all morally grey but everyone is ignoring that and only dog piling on Mok.
Honestly, like others here I DID NOT SEE THIS COMING... Like this bad??
Poor Mokyeon... Now the whole him inviting Nanjo & cooking for him & making him have a good time... It's infinitely more painful reading his backstory.
I know the author said it's a happy ending but reading the S2 start gave me some much Backlight ptsd... All blonde pretty tops suffering this season ༼;´༎ ༎༽
Nanjo come save this lost lamb!!!
Any idea where to read the novel for fre? The MTL is terrible and others I found are behind paywall.
https://moonflorverse.xyz/story/salt-society/
It's free completely here but just don't share it publically the website that's all
Also from around ch86 u will need a password so join the discord server to get the password to read from there
At this point I see useless people spamming with their hate agenda against DMIYC specially Grayson.
Urge everyone to READ the novel and also have some Comprehension skill!
Noone takes away from the way Grayson treated Chase but he didn't do out of malice (READ NOVEL - Mature people see ALL sides of argument). In fact Grayson himself holds himself accountable and apologises multiple times to Chase in this novel if this gets some people to unclench.
The abuse Grayson himself faced, I'd like to see those fainting over daddy Ashley to say a word!
Lastly if you don't like don't read but stop ruining experience for others who have read the novel and waiting for so long for this. Behaving like kpoppie fandom makes you guys look pathetic!
Live and let live!!
FYI this story IS the best of the if you can series... Grayson does which no other Miller can..lol
I'm dying to read the next part after learning BWAT nim are able to restart this story.
This IMO is one of their best works. The premise and story is so different and brilliant. The whole past slowly untravelling ...whatever glimpse we got is shocking.
Amazing characters and storyline. Also apart from Blossoms of the White Night, Dear 00 protagonists are my favourite art characters of BWAT nim.
I'm still so shocked how underrated this story is.
Extremely controversial but having read the Novel, Grayson IMO is the best Miller out there. Won't give any spoilers but he did something no other Miller could do and that does make him peak IMO.
Yes his actions towards Chase wasn't good, but if one reads the Novel, they'll understand there actually wasn't much malice. Again don't come at me!
The story too is incredibly enjoyable compared to all the other stories (Nathaniel's comes second followed by Chase's again - my opinion).
Only thing towards end Dane was a tad bit irritating but overall Desire Me If You Can is GOATED.
[ P.S. if Josh/ Dane seems badass, the best Miller partner in the series is Christy Jin - I wish Ziig elaborated their story more].
But so excited to finally read Desire Me If You Can ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾
Ashley is the most psycho on how he treats his kids, he has no quality of being a father to his children. Grayson was the best boy he learnt, he adapted and he survived . Btw I also love that scene cause Dane suffers for 20 chapters after that scene ohh for how u longed to see Dane suffer emotionallly too lol I was tired and feeling sad for Grayson for so many chapters I was happy with 20 chapters of longing for Grayson
True that. I like how character perception changes once we read through different novels. Dane hyped elsewhere was a bit ass towards the end...so yeah I share same feeling with you
Ashley is so terrible. I feel bad because before he lost his pheromone control he was actually the nicest. But his treatment towards his children is truly terrible. But yeah grandpa Miller story traumatized me. Nothing tops his psychoness.
I'm mid way reading the novel after reading upto date with the manhwa..and this is such a shit show.
Not only adding weird dubcon with ML after which ML magically semi accepts his feelings(?)/opens that mf closet he's shut tight for yrs... That brother is a whole ass monster.
Did the author really have to make the MC(uke) force sleep with the brother who's a psycho no less??!
At one point he sleeps with both the brothers (though at different time/days... With psycho due to blackmail and with MC due to...who knows what...
Atp just leave poor MC alone.
I can't believe this is the same author as Summertime.
Somehow I'm facepalming and trying to finish this.... Sigh
I just hate the fact that the whole rape by the brother was pushed there, totally unnecessary, and seriously, ruined it for me... is there some kind of trend in Asia to add non-con everywhere, it's not the only plot device to give angst I can let slide a lot in fiction, but rape is off limit for me, especially when it's like added by someone random, not even addressed correctly, without any impact on the narrative... gosh
I was gonna read this cos I saw it on social media but thank you for this comment so now I’m going to stay away.
I was skeptical about reading this cos I saw it was the same author as Eighteen’s Bed which I also dropped after the first chapter cos it seemed to glorify bullying and I hate bullies. Now another one with unnecessary rape too. Ew.
Once again, thank you so much for saving me from the trauma.
I'm curious about the ML. He's homophobic but I'm yet to see any dubcon or physical abuse from him and I pray that doesn't happen.
Haven't read the novel, but I feel his homophobia is related to something his brother might have done. Especially in the initial chapters where the older brother threatens him with something and ML's expression changed to fear....what was that something...
The brother is dangerous and scary IMO.
The ML has both externalised (probably bcoz of his brother) and internalised (he doesn't want to accept he is attracted to guys) homophobia.
Another curious reaction was to the cuttings....
The MC is so good. Been following since Summertime. I hope he gets peace and happiness with or without ML. ...
Really curious where this goes..

So I was reading some theories that twinky could've actually outed Nanjo &/or Mok moved away out of guilt...or situation nosedives due to outing ...
If the outing theory comes true...that's worse case scenario
