From my ongoing reads, this one is truly a gem. The characters feel well developed.
It was bound to happen. I feel for him and everything he experienced as a child/teen, but it doesn’t negate the fact that as an adult he has done awful things.

So the story is very interesting, and honestly that’s what keeps me here. The MC is soooo infuriatingly dumb, it pains so read his inner dialogue. To the point even when he starts to think critically it still hurts because you know it won’t last.
I kind of think that’s the point. They keep commenting that the only reason he’s survived this long is because he doesn’t think too deeply about things. He has a strong intuition that saves him, so while he’s intelligent, his intuition tells him that if he dives too deeply into this world he’ll go mad.
Yeah 100%. I just don’t favour lack of critical thinking.
