The story is quite good, actually, the writing, themes, etc. But, the translation is so ass bro I'm not eveb kidding. Great for practicing your media literacy skill, but sometimes its kinda frustrating to read. Can't wait for officials

Why are we developing so fast??? I want more tension and a 'badum' moment first

    Vahsetpurna May 27, 2026 10:23 pm

well just because he realised his feelings it might not develop faster. There are still some problems like him thinking she was once married to another guy. And her being in a place where she is employed and has to put a distance between herself and her employer idk i think they wont develop too fast

Yeah, but that'll be the conflict of their progressing relationship. I was talking about the cliché of realizing their feelings, the awkward acting of trying to be normal, etc lol. And the talk about 'sleeping together' and being good in bed felt kinda out of left field

I read the novel a couple of years back (I forgot when), but I didn't finish it, though. The story is nice, quite like the characters, the theme, etc. But the manhwa's pacing is so ass. It didn't delve deeper on Catherine internal dialogue. Some fillers that helped with the pacing and the world-relationship building were cut out, so it was really confusing to read. I think you better off reading the novel, or you can read the novel first before getting into this manwha

C'mon, author, it's time to put that yaoi tag. You have to be brave

The smut is not smutting. So much censorship and for what?

I was thinking how I miss the CEO that was dubbed as the will-be-seme-if-this-was-yaoi, then he showed up in the latter half of chap 131 lmaoo

The story is quite well written, I liked the characters, the characterization, the conflicts, etc. However, I feel the ending is rushed. There's certain characters that were merely mentioned but not explored enough to be impactful to the story, albeit they were part of the center in this story (like the mom, sister from Haeshin, other Kwon's family, the housekeeper/s, gardener, etc). Felt like a missed opportunity to immersed those characters further into the story so the nuances are more felt to the readers.

The ending might feel like let down to some readers because they ended up together again after the shitstrom Ido put Sejij through. But, they could have gone through it the different way. I don't have a problem with the ending per se; I personally resonated with the theme of 'it hurts when I hold on, but it hurts more if I let go.' I still do wish they written the ending in a slightly different way.

It could have been, Ido sets up the fragrance class with Ms. Lee for Sejin, and there she recommends Sejin to take a certificate. Here, I was hoping the Sejin Perfume Brand wasn't created by Ido for Sejin, I feel it's shouldn't be this way. Then they should have all the conflict about their past, misunderstanding, Ido shitty behavior, Sejin trauma, etc. Basically, all the conflict happened in the story. And then, Sejin left Ido to deal with the emotional turmoil. He also cut the Haeshin family for good (because I feel like it's still not clear or explored enough in this story)

Here, he gets his certificate. After that, he made the Sejin Fragrance on his own instead of having the company gifted by Ido. There, Sejin built back his self worth, find his purpose other than that was decided of him (which were one of a big characterization of Sejin that went unexplored), started making his own choices without a chip on his shoulder about Haeshin&Ido (past and current), etc.

Then they reunited when Sejin's Company were becoming more successful, they rekindled themselves, worked out their misunderstanding, Ido chased and apologized to Sejin, Sejin getting his own mini revenge emotionally on Ido, etc. Basically, they're making up with each other—heavy on Ido's part. Sejin also made up with Mr. Kim and reunited with the housekeeper that was kind to him in his childhood, he gets a semblance of family or at least affection from people that care about him both from past and current.

And then Sejin proposed the dating idea, they date, starting over with a cleanslate (because by then the timeline of the past has already passed), and then ended with Sejin proposed to Ido for marriage (because both in the past and in the beginning of the story the marriage/engagement wasn't decide by Sejin). They both get married with only people that close with them attending (Ido's sister family, Mr. Kim and wife, Ma'am Housekeeper, the gardener, etc), because now it was a marriage of love and not business.

Anyway, good story, a solid 8/10. Would recommend, but not to the faint of heart lol.
