Ahh. Here I come back to this insane story. I read it first a couple years ago and have not stopped thinking about it. No other manga compares. The psychological aspect, the tension, the dread of being trapped in a situation you hate, the MC’s mental break. It was all written and drawn so well. I really appreciate the mangaka for making such a story. I know the point is not to romanticize such abuse, but i felt the ending was akin to a Shakespearean tragedy. MC has stockholm syndrome and Hikaru remains obsessed with him. In the end they remain together in their own suffering. Relenting to each other, because at this point the only people who understand their inner darkness and pain is each other. Almost perfect.
