Its not the traditional fluffy sweet happy ending. Ml doesnt turn into a "perfect saint" but he stops being a total psycho bc he realizes he'll destroy mc if he keeps going. Ml starts genuinely spoiling mc, and mc stops fighting and accepts his reality.
Mc tries to run away like a few times but ends up back in ml's arms.
Ml kidnaps and completely isolates mc on an island, and after a while he confesses to mc. Thats where the main story ends.
There ARE side stories where they feature the two actually living a better life together!
Trigger warning though, theres a lot of abuse going on and due to the psychological stress and isolation, mc suffers a tragic miscarriage. Losing the baby shatters mc's sanity and he develops phantom pregnancy (couvade/pseudocyesis) firmly believing he is still pregnant, treating a doll like his real baby. Some people are uncomfortable with this part, so i said it as a warning T_T
I feel like the side stories are a lot lighter and sweeter! They do get married :) i love that scene personally.
