This is the most wholesome story I've read in awhile, and I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did. I was pleasantly surprised by how it was an extremely fluffy, feel-good story but still felt realistic. A lot of the slice-of-life, happy BL I've read have an unrealistic plot and flat characters ruining the whole thing. This was definitely better. It was well executed while still giving the reader comforting and soft vibes.
The plot was interesting, the tone was heartwarming, the conflict was captivating, and the characters had depth and were loveable. I hope they release side stories!
This was so good! The story, the chemistry, the art, the smut, so peak. I also loved how the conflict was more than just one bad thing to ruin their lives. There was multiple points of smaller conflict with a main big conflict and yet it was really sweet, light-hearted, and fluffy. It gave us so much time to really get to know both characters. I've read so many stories that it's rare for me to be sad to see characters go like this.
I really hope there's side stories coming!
This is my favorites list and I can't tell if this is going to be 100% my tastes or not at all, anyone who's read this and any on these, I appreciated the help

Looked through your list and based on what you have so far it isn't that different. I will tell you that there is unfortunately quite a bit of SA during the chapters to the main character Rix. But the overall story isn't too bad. The ML is a green flag definitely, the art is nice. I enjoyed the story when I first read it, definitely not the SA but, I think you'll enjoy the storyline, it's not too dramatic and their relationship is pretty sweet. Lemme know if you want to know anything else.
Such peak. This is probably the deepest love connection I've ever seen in media. I can't think of another pairing that felt so deeply in love. I would even say "love" isn't a strong enough word to describe how connected they feel to the reader. The plot is PHENOMENAL even without the main couple, but they made the entire story timelessly peak.
TW: a lot of stuff. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, don't read it if you can't enjoy darker themes.
Bro you have to read The Pawn's Revenge, please it is so peak and the love connection between the MC (Je-oh) and the ML (Seong-rok) is so strong, like they are a power couple. It really is black cat (Je-oh) x golden retriever (Seong-rok), like Seong-rok is so downbad it's not even funny.
The plot is amazing, it's so deep, and even without the backstories, it really humanizes not only Je-oh and Seong-rok and other side characters, but also just people in sex work in general, especially the ones who are forced to do it for a living. And I love how even though it was about prostitution, the author didn't ONLY use smut as a plot point. Plus, the art is GORGEOUS!!!
I would highly recommend giving it a read if you're into darker themes, deep connections between love interests, revenge, and psychological themes.

Thanks a bunch! It's actually the 3rd one one my to read list lol. I'm waiting until I can binge read it without interruption or else I'll be supper annoyed wanting to read it. I love a deeply connected couple like that, "healthy" is overrated, give my psychologically unstable and obsessed. Just finished Like A Fever Dream and it was exquisite Thanks I'm positive I'll love it now! I'll read it when I can afford to be obsessed
Glad to be of service, I hope you enjoy it when you can! I also really like couples who don't just like each other but have a deep connection that no one else can even touch cause they're just on a different level. Call it trauma bonding if you want, but it's what makes a strong relationship when you see the ugliest parts of someone and still choose to stick by their side.
This is what I'm hoping for every time I read a guideverse story.
It was so good! Any complaints are personal preferences and not an accurate judgment of the writing, drawing, and execution of the story. The whole story was told so perfectly with the right amount of twists, pacing, backstory, and emotional depth. The chemistry between the main characters felt real and deeply connected. The premise was unique and NOTHING felt forced. No characters behaved abnormally just to make the plot fit, and no one became suddenly stupid just to cause conflict. There was only one point where I thought a character was being an idiot but the author got me, he wasn't.
Even if it's not your cup of tea it's worth reading, especially if you're someone who prefers good writing more than a pretty, flat, and perfect world. It's still an incredibly sweet and a feel-good, fluff-filled story, it's just that the writing is so good it overshadows everything else. It's very satisfying.

That was such a good one. And the last picture got me
