I think it's kinda complicated, because there are bits of this criminal-driver subplot going on (which *spoiler* explain Yieum's ambivalent reaction towards Wonjoon) in the earlier chapters. This is what makes the novel and manhwa a lil different if i remember correctly
It’s best to read from the beginning because the manhwa doesn’t follow the novel properly. And based on how it goes, the artist might be planning to rewrite the encounter between mc and the rapist(yeah that guy) into one arc because in the novel, there many things happened in between so it might make the reader lost the plot. Which is really a good choice for manhwa readers. Because the spoilers from the novel only makes them confused haha
