Though I did read that they couldn't take the necklace off (apparently they can't take it off even after her parents recognize her and try taking it off) but then it should have been mentioned that she can't take it off. It's as if she had never even tried. For a child in her position, that's quite hard to believe.

From what I think and know of, it’s her master from her previous life who took her away from her parents and gave her the necklace.
