erm besides haesu highkey assaulting geonwoo and the teacher, he is obviouslg trying to protect eunha from the other entities. bro just needs to verbalised what his intent was.
even then i dont think theyll end up tgt whilst eunha and haesu has this thin thread of companionship, the violence that has obviously gone catastrophically gone haywire and started targeting others besides the bullies gives eunha the sense of being the one responsible bc haesu inflicted onto them which she is not at fault bro is just insanely possessive and not in the right mind.
imo its going to be a bittersweet ending, once we find out more ab haesu’s past and why he came to be bc its quite obvious there are two sides of him, one that is human-ish and the other an actual entity, i believe he was sacrificed as a child/teen and it didnt go well and the entity and him merged tgt (?).
once his past is revealed and perhaps he gets separated from the entity and he is his own self bc he lived in another timeline he’ll cease to exist or perhaps he’ll sacrifice himself to save eunha and get rid of anything thats going to prolong her suffering.
by this i believe eunha is both relieved and conflicted is that one the nightmare is over and she doesnt have to deal any excessive violence and the other is that she’s conflicted bc haesu did save her in a way from the bullying and also became like his first friend in a way, i dont know how to explain it but when two ppl are at the bottom of the pit they rely on each other developing some sort of companionship even though one has a stronger sense of ethics and morales while the other is neither and the only exception is them.

wow that was a great read, i really love the complexity of the characters. the ending was perfect imo, we have been so conditioned that the antagonists will get their way and the protagonist gaining stockholm syndrome in order to justify the relationship but wow.
I love how all the characters are flawed, and each shows a reflection on humanity and shows how greed and selfishness can take a persons extent to achieve that despite trying to upkeep the invisible fine lines we’ve set up ourselves to distinguish who is “normal” and whatnot in social standings albeit work, relationship etc.
clark kept true to his own ethics till the end whilst alex didnt so clark was his own anti thesis in a way. clark has the habit to withdraw when something is out of his own hands in the situation. at first glance clark might have felt sad with the doctor’s passing but i think its moreso clarks assumption that the doctor with be safe did not happen, so he felt guilt and infuriated at the fact he couldnt prevent it from happening.
the doctor kind of liked pissed me off but shows that no matter what theres always some way to wedge cracks in between. like youre a psychologist who is dealing with a serial killer and youre not reporting bc he’s pretty GAIWBSIAJSK pretty privilege at its finest lol.
ah anyways peak story

i was going through my list and i finally reread this beauty i see from the comments it was one of their first BL’s and same here!
honestly webcomic was the catalyst of it all had so many great and unique stories till greed took them over and a lot of copy and paste tropes were getting pumped out.
it still made me bawl my eyes out such an amazing story, i wish BL stories were constructed this way, instead of the usually SA bs.

being held up to a standard thats enforced in you as a kid and having to put others infront of your own even though you had the right to be selfish, to express your own feelings whether it be negative or positive.
i love how gaon realises what her nature is, and acknowledges the matter of fact. after this chap it doesn’t make it any less of who she represented herself as. she just finally gained the freedom to express herself more, and realising that its okay to put herself first.
and ykw it totally makes sense not her telling kihyeon about the move, she already knew what lengths he’d go through just to be w her, and not only that she mentioned she felt like she couldn’t do anything without kihyeon as kihyeon adopted gaon’s persona which ultimately overshadowed even though he only did it through her wishes.
but she had the ultimate prize of realising that those close to her had ulterior motives and were never after her as an individual.
i do hope gaon and doyoung stay in touch, i really love their friendship, and the fact they are both each other’s first genuine friendship is so lovely

honestly if you look at it at inseops dream gi jeong only killed the person that was harassing him for a some time that affected his business as such.
whereas inseop did those murders that apply the same standards from his dream (and keep in mind he had already done multiple within a short amount of time) he started targeting ppl close to gijeong. ah not only that its inaccurate when he refers to his dream and himself being “normal” how can you dream of becoming someone you never were in the first place?
the realisation is that even though he thinks he loves gijeong or genuinely does love her but doesnt have the inability to do so, psychopaths can never gain emotions, but can come to an understanding of it and mimick it appropriate for those situations. inseops parents were just there and didnt really do anything tbh, for a psychopath nurturing is an essential part on who they’ll become as a person which they failed to do so.
anyways back to the topic off hand, he realised he can never gain gijeongs love as he became the very thing he’s been getting rid off and inherently never became the person that gijeong would rely on.
hence why deciding to kill himself bc those feelings of want and possession will never cease and will only further worsen (as if its not gotten alr to that point but ykwim)
the ironic thing is inseop killing himself is his last ounce of “normalcy” as a person but ofc only to the person they couldnt obtain.
its poetic in a way.
i really do love this manhwa bc we finally get an ending that is neither good or bad. good bc gijeong (and others associated by her) gets to escape the grasp of inseop, bad because she’ll be traumatised by this entire ordeal.
its moreso a realistic ending that not every antagonist will get their way.
refreshing also bc we have been so conditioned with fictions with toxic relationships of the “bad” side getting their way and the victim developing stockholm syndrome. not only that most fics really cant execute well reasons as to why those characters chose to stay and always lead up to shallow guilt tripping but thats a rant for another time.

okay i thought the rebellion would be like 15 chaps long just to hold suspense but im glad the author jump straight to the gun
also guwon’s whole anatomy never ceases to make me laugh esp when it’s at a new angle/perspective, he outright reminds me of the gigachad meme

okay i highkey take it back. guwon does not give a shit at all, he has a narrow primitive mindset, and because he instilled fear from the townspeople without even knowing why and ofc those ppl that had a sense of morals and ethics as such are ofc afraid of him
because death to him doesnt classify as death to him.
and bc jinwoo is the first person to show genuine concern, infatuation and opposition to him, he sees jinwoo as his equal, hence the idea of dying by him is okay and again the thought of dying in his mind doesnt really process.
the hounds only care for him only because they look up to guwon bc he’s stronger and more of a “psychomaniac” compared to them (as the story has established) and without a leader they’ll bound to fall apart within as they fight who takes the next “leadership”
i cant explain it properly through words but this is how i perceive guwons charac.
but now im interested in jinwoo’s char the most, it is most def not normal trying to kill someone or harm yourself during your sleep, at first i may have understood as to why bc he wasnt sure ab his father’s status until he did but kept happening, surely theres something jinwoo is hiding bc of the past.
70% smut and 30% inkling of a story progression this chap lol
