I think its just me who doesn't like euijoon.. or their relationship. Hes so fucking embarrassing like omg and i know "mister" doesn't talk much but there's no communication at all. I swear this was better when i read it when it first came out.
Nah actually I get the overthinking part, he’s just, not very likable as a mc, too whiny? But that would be fine as long as we see more character development later on, I stopped at like chapter 56? And I rlly couldn’t go on, gorgeous art but mc and mister has 0 chemistry going on, but hey that’s just me ig, but to be fair, the only good thing I have to say about euijoon is his pretty privilege and his ability to be soft hearted while still having his boundaries, loved that part of him, it’s just a shame that his personality otherwise is just vanilla, correct me if I’m wrong haven’t read this in a while but thanks for reading my ted talk /j anyways authors other work? (Hounds of Sisyphus is just so enjoyable?? The story, art etc which brought me to this story only to get a taste of plain vanilla
Sorry English is not my first language but my main point is that the characters lacks depth, like they exist just for the story, doesn’t give that raw humane emotions, it just felt like they exist for the sake of making this story u know, not really hating just stating my opinion, but seeing how so many people enjoyed it makes me want to go back and read it again and see if I was just crazy lol
why is anyone even reading this
Some time ago i was arguing with someone here on the comments (but was the for your murder’s section) about how teens weren’t supposed to be reading toxic stuff, then the person who i was arguing with said this was worse than the ones we were discussing.
AND DAMN SHE WAS RIGHT
I never felt so disgusted reading a webtoon jn MY LIFE (and i read some teisted shi), i seriously despise all characters, but, i literally could not stand seeing juyeon’s face anymore.
In that chapter after he paid those disgusting fucking insects and hugged jiwook from behind while he was lying down, IT JUST GAVE GOOSEBUMPS AND I COULDNT
i just couldn’t… i dont intend to keep reading this, i dont even know how i endured all these 40 chapters, even more that now i saw that this author is the same of sadistic beauty, and sincerely, they’re just sick in the head
This work is sickening, but I’m at least glad that I still didn’t see anyone simping over juyeon, im regaining a bit of my faith in humanity
It's not the same author, just the same artist for the manhwa. Reverse Thinking and Sadistic Beauty are novels written by different authors. And well, most people keep reading because they want to know what happens. Honestly, I endured the first season because I wanted to see what the protagonist would do to escape Juyeon's blackmail, which he couldn't do because this second season is based on the kidnapping and explaining Juyeon's reasons for being a crazy guy lol
What did Jiwook do? (Like fr, not ironically) Im not gonna read the novel neither read more of the manhwa, and i never said i liked jiwook, actually at the beginning i didnt pity him because he is ANNOYING AS FUCK BRUH, but i think that no one should go through this kinda situation really
If it was me i would just offed myself a long time ago (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Dw I gotchu (spoilers below)
Jiwon and Juyeon were friends when they were teenagers, both had mutual feelings but Jiwook was extremely repressed and couldn’t deal with it. When Juyeon confessed to him, he freaked out and started sexually abusing him with his cronies and filming it to “punish him” for being gay. When the abuse was caught by a school janitor Jiwook got community service for it, but was pissed about it so he posted Juyeon’s videos online and sent them to his mother, causing her to have a mental breakdown. Jiwook doesn’t remember this because he sustained a head injury while fighting a different character who is revealed to have helped Juyeon plot his revenge.
Anyways, I think they’re both gross and weird. I like Juyeon as a character, but I don’t want to fuck him or anything and he’s willing to rape random people too if it means keeping Jiwook under his thumb. That stuff I can’t support, but at his core he’s rlly just a kid who got sexually abused and is both clinging onto someone he loved while also venting his anger out on him.
Don't worry :) Honestly, both are pretty raw, but I'd say Reverse Thinking is mostly just pure morbid curiosity...? Sadistic Beauty also starts out super distressing and dark, but Minho really carries the story as the protagonist. Every chapter actually shows a different stage until his character development. It handles heavy topics—like the aftermath of sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, resentment, Stockholm syndrome, toxic relationships, and bitter endings. And Reverse Thinking hmm, there's not much depth sometimes. That said, the discussions between people supporting Juyeon's revenge vs those saying Jiwook didn't deserve it to that extent are pretty interesting, so it definitely delivers on that drama! Revenge tropes are always great for keeping people hooked.

their backstory is so good but the art style gets me every time.. still love them tho
What art? They're gorgeous. That art hate is so forced.
its just the proportions, nothing wrong with anything else. The size of their heads compared to the rest of the body threw me off
