He needs new lungs cause I think to handle that level of magic, normal healthy human lungs couldn’t handle it. I think his current body was damaged by smoking, so even if he fixed that, still couldn’t handle the inhuman level of magic he can pull off. He only got put in this body because it had massive amounts of mana, but couldn’t use it.
