I think the quest in S2 was to know the past so that Yeon could make a choice in the end.
Yeon made Kihoon loose his memory to so he could reach his ‘max potential’. If they just ended the misfortune the timeline stays the same and kihoon doesn’t get a chance to play soccer professionally. So Yeon wanted kihoon to get a chance to prosper without being in the way

I think because after learning their backstory he just feels guilty that he’s at the center of kiboon dying and then being at fault of his bad luck and car accident
I FEAR there were many many opportunities to kill romani and get ts over with, but this was so good omfg felix is such a power bottom i love him
