I don't know how the story ends with zhenya and if he starts to treat teakjoo with respect. But caeasar is just trash after ch 40. He does all sort of horrible things, never regrets anything and still has the nerve to say he is in love.

Caesar before the shooting scene was actually good and had great potential since he didn't grape nor force Leewon into anything. But he snapped after that scene. Yet he is 5x better than this wonjae guy. And Caesar turned crazy Leewon already fell for him. That's why Leewon didn't wanna give up on Caesar even after that disgusting week. And I am not a fan of Zhenya at all but he changes after Taekjoo runs away from him. But don't listen to people who says Teakjoo turns red flag later. They are lying to water down Zhenya's wrong doings. Anyway this wonjae guy is really the worst.

caesar had potential but after ch40 he became shit. Let's not forgett he raped, tourted and drugged leewon more than once. So instead of growing as a character he started good(as good as a mafia boss can be as the love interest) and then got worse and worse.

Ikr! I was so disappointed because I read it blindly. I can't believe for 40 chapters I thought people were being dramatic and then the author had to ruin it.

Me too. I still can not believe how much the story suffered because of that. Like the author really dropped the ball there. And the worst part is the story never recovered and it never evolved into a real romance if you think about it. Because prior the story was kind of a mafia/law thirller with sexual tension between 2 people of 2 different worlds. But then it came rape, torment, abuse and after all that they are in love, and then it came more rape and abuse and more i love you being thrown around like it is nothing. I found it ridiculous. The story never explains why and how these 2 people fell in love, they barely know anything about each other or do anything together outside sex. And even the story ends with leewon saying they barely know anything about each other, but oh they are in love. The rapist and abuser loves his victim so much he is willing to do it again, and the victim is in love with his abuser. Yeah, you hardly ever see character development of such high level like this right? LOL.

The fact that before that horrible scene happened Leewon already caught feelings for Caesar. Zig really didn't give a shit. I think zig has some really good ideas and plots but she fails to execute them or keep them sane. Otherwise the dynamics was really good.

The thing is prior to all the rape and abuse, Leewon questioned more than once what kind of relationship they had. He was sure they would not see each other again after the case was solved. The dynamic never really developed properly into love territory. Because later came all the abuse but they confess they are in love? Like when did it happen? Why did it happen? What do they see in each other? Because physical attraction, lust, desire, all these things do not mean somebody is in love. And with all the abuse that came later, the plot was in serious need of a good reason for those to be together, in a way that does not feel like a stockholm syndrome type of ''happy'' ending, and the author failed hard at that. They should not have shifted the dynamic at all. Maybe it was better to leave it as a mafia/politic thriller. Not every story needs to be a romance or a dark romance. And the plot failed at being either of those things.

Yeah. I just felt it had potential. These authors need to stop adding unnecessary grape. Like how do we even like a grapist? Literally how?

Yes, it had great potential. It is sad how it turned out.

Yup. Their relationship isn't all lovey and nice. But I am excited to see Ashley gradually liking his least liked child. He also raised his kids all by himself himself. Wish we could see that from Julian as well.
